Reserves have just opened and apps are right around the corner. But are you still on the fence about any of your would-be characters? Well -- here is your chance to take them out for a spin!
▣ TAG IN or reply to others with characters you would like to test drive for Luceti.
▣ ONLY add top-level comments for characters who are not yet in the game. You're free to reply to others with Luceti characters (because that's half the fun) but remember that the whole point of this meme is for potential characters.
▣ PLEASE do not post duplicates of characters already in Luceti.
▣ GO AHEAD and give us a brief description of your character in the top-level comment, along with one or two possible ways to run into your test-driven character around town.
▣ YOU MAY use these threads for your first person samples on your app -- just make sure that you link threads of a goodly length (i.e., threads with at least ten comments from your character).
Need a little help getting started? Remember, you needn't post here as though your character is still brand-spankin' new. It'll probably be more fun for all involved if this isn't a simple dress rehearsal for showing up. Here are a few scenario ideas:
o1. The grocery store is out of food. What do you do?
o2. Wing injury! Call for help or stagger your way to one of our fine clinics.
o3. It's a busy evening at Good Spirits, one of Luceti's local bars. Do you dare try the drink specials?
o4. Have a talent for playing music? Try Cloud Nine's open mic night!
o5. Beach party? Snow party? Leaf-raking party? Gardening party? YOU DECIDE.
Okay. So my examples are pretty non-exciting. But they're really just suggestions. I'm POSITIVE you kids can come up with more creative things.
Above all? HAVE FUN.
Chizuru Yukimura | Hakuouki
She chose to return their kindness--or was it dutiful mindfulness?--the best way she knew how: cleaning their living space from ceiling to baseboard!
She's tucked into a corner, making good of the spare rags she'd managed to collect and a bucket of soapy water. Those dusty corners won't clean themselves!]
no subject
Why do you stick to corners? Luceti's pretty boring but you can like. walk around or something idk.
Standing right behind her and just kinda waiting for her to notice. doop doop ]
no subject
Don't worry about it, Okita. Chizuru's here now. Everything will be spik-and-span in a matter of hours!
She'll even do the kitty box for you. That's love.Making her way across the line where the wall meets the floor, she scooches along until--oop!]
Ha--? [She peers over her shoulder curiously.] O-Okita-san!
[How long were you staring? =A=]
no subject
[ Studying her for a moment, arms crossed. ]
You're pretty invested in cleaning, aren't you?
no subject
It's not like you were going to do it.]I wouldn't say that, but it looked like it needed to be done. [Curiously frowning, she remembered that one time she had to tidy up Okita's room with Yamazaki in a secret operation.]
Did you want me to pass over your room?
no subject
You don't have to. [ After a short pause, he turns to the door. ]
I'm going out. You should too, you know.
no subject
So it's ok for me to clean your room? [It must mean he hasn't gotten a hold of Hijikata's haiku book yet...]
Eh? Go out? [Whatever for?] Did you want me to come with you?
no subject
Anyway, don't mind him as he slams the apartment door open and then slams it back shut. What. A horrible. Day.
Ready to storm into his room and then slam that door shut too, he stops when he notices Chizuru. Oops. The lady saw you throwing a fit, Hijikata. Cool it.]
...Hey, Chizuru... [A moment's hesitation, then he closes his mouth. His entrance has already made this awkward. Fantastic.]
no subject
....
[Folding the rag silently, she draped it over the edge of the soapy water bucket before rising to her feet, calmly folding her hands over her lap.]
Is everything all right, Hijikata-san?
[Urk. Stupid question. Just look at that glowering face, Chizuru. How could anything possibly be all right?]
no subject
Still glaring but hanging his head ever so slightly, Hijikata moves to cross the distance between them and sinks into a couch, trying his very best to calm down.]
No, it's not alright. Look at where we are. [Glancing around the apartment with disdain, though his words just as easily refer to Luceti itself.]
no subject
....[She finds herself at a bit of a loss. There was little she could do to really help the situation, not truly. Though perhaps going over what they had accomplished while here could be of some benefit. If anything, it would show that they hadn't been wasting their time here.]
On the bright side--[She hesitates, half-expecting him to cut her off with some biting remark on how there was no bright side.]--at least Okita-san and Heisuke-kun are here safe and sound, right?
no subject
Souji and Heisuke. Both dead back in Japan, yet seemingly alive and kicking here, as their younger selves to boot.
Just, you know. Daily reminders of his own failure. Of how he could have done something, hell, everything differently.]
Yeah, I guess they are. [And so are you.
But he can't say that. Easy as it seemed it would be to protect her at first...he'd heard the talk already. There was a war here, too. Fitting that he should be taken, then, but her?
She's been through enough.
Looking up at her and attempting a small grin, he nods solemly.] Oh, don't look at me like that. You don't need to pay me any mind.
no subject
Instead of worry, a warm smile cracks across her face, and she softly chuckles as she takes a tentative seat on the sofa's farthest edge to grant Hijikata some much-needed space.]
Have they been making trouble for you again?

Since they're in an apartment anyway and sunlight isn't an issue, he decides to take a look around to see if anyone is still in, and sure enough, there's Chizuru, cleaning. Geez, she's only been in this place -- a whole other world -- for a couple of days, and she's already cleaning. Oh, Chizuru...
So yeah just popping up behind you hi.] Hey, Chizuru!
no subject
Because there're the starts of dust-bunny colonies in here, and getting into some of these corners was a really involved process...]
Eep! [Thud. Chizuru jumps forward at the sudden
naturally loudvoice and butts her head into the wall.] Owowowowow... [She drops her washcloth and slaps her hand across the top of her head, rubbing the bump away. It'd be gone in a few seconds, but it still hurt all the same.]no subject
..But yeah okay despite her bumping her head and it probably being all Heisuke's fault, he can't help but laugh at least a little... Geez, how'd she manage to do that?]
H-hey, you okay, Chizuru? Sorry for sneaking up on you like that, haha.. [Just gonna squat down beside her hi.]
no subject
...she's just more used to him being loud enough to see coming a good few meters away...
Still, she smiles up at him, grateful for the friendly face, free of malicious intent (or mischevious intent, anyway).] Were you asleep? Did I wake you?
no subject
Nah, not at all! Well, I was sleeping, but you weren't the one who woke me up. I just kinda did that on my own. I didn't feel like going back to sleep either, so I came out here.
[To find Chizuru cleaning, of course.]
no subject
If that's the case, maybe you'd like some tea or something to nibble on? [She folds her washcloth over the pail of soapy water and swipes the back of her hand beneath her bangs. She could probably use a bit of break herself, come to think of it. She just hadn't had a reason to stop and grab a bite to eat before Heisuke came along.]

in any case, like Souji, he won't make an attempt in trying to divert her attention over to him. if she notices him, she notices him. that was that. ]

After a few minutes of extra elbow-grease in those tricky corners, Chizuru finally rises to her feet to go pour the dirty water outside. She's on her way out the door when she spots Saitou (at last
what's peripheral vision?.]Oh!
no subject
[ "It is time to take a break." Using his eyes to depict this message, the words will remain unsaid otherwise. ]
no subject
[But she hadn't started--oh. Chizuru smiles warmly.] Did you make everyone lunch, Saitou-san?
[He was always more adept at cooking than the other Shinsengumi members, after all.]
no subject
[ the smile causes him to avert his gaze slightly. just slightly. it was almost unnoticeable. ]
The other members of the Shinsengumi are currently out, however.
[ he himself would wait for their return, but seeing as Chizuru had been hard at work for quite a while... ]
no subject
If you've already set aside everyone's lunches, shall I help you tidy the kitchen up?
