[It had been three long weeks since Vert first arrived in Luceti. There was the typical confusion, anger, helplessness, and so on that many new feathers with world-saving abilities have, but she's mostly gotten over that. Mostly.

Still, there was something about Luceti that really bothered her. Disturbed her, even. Something she tried very hard to ignore, but after a while, simply couldn't anymore.

So, in an effort to clear up this horrid image she had in her mind, Vert flipped open her journal and started a voice entry.]

Hello, everyone. I have a question for you all, if you'd be so kind as to answer.

[ ... ]

Do all of you know what a video game is? More specifically, an MMO? It's okay if you don't know what that is, though. The former, less specific question is much more important.

[... Sure, she was ending it just like she'd end one of her blog posts, but whatever. The journal seemed to be the same thing, anyway!! But please, Luceti, clear up her doubts! ... In that case, you must not be from any alternate versions of Gameindustri. [ ... ] I didn't think her consoles would be so popular as to cross to different planets entirely. Certainly mine must have as well ...

[Gameindustri...? Riki's about to repeat the name to ask what it is, but when he notices what it sounds like, he stops himself. ..Uhh.]

...Erm. Is that the name of the world you come from? And are you saying that you and this Lady Black Heart person made video game consoles? [She did say "mine", so...]

That's right. [Not that she actually made the consoles, but given how important they are to her nation, she'll just quietly take credit as it's goddess.] Video games are very important to the livelihood and culture of Gameindustri - especially Leanbox. Our LAN parties especially are unbeatable compared to any of the other nations.

[...Wow a whole world based around video games? That sounds pretty neat. If only Kyousuke were here, he'd be all over that, probably.]

Uwaaah.. That's really interesting, actually. What kinds of games are popular there?

All kinds, really.

[She says this with all the pride she can while still trying to come across as mature and respectable.]

Leanbox especially focuses mostly on FPS games with lots of focus on cooperative and online play, so those tend to be the most popular kinds. However, we do have a varied selection of all other game genres, like RPGs, sports, and rhythm games. Whether it's popular or not, you're still sure to find something enjoyable.

[This Leanbox sounds a lot like an Xbox, name and all. Does the world have some sort of line of game consoles similar to ones in his..? Just with different names, apparently. And probably different games as well.]

Mm... We have a system in my world that sounds a lot like that one. The name's pretty similar, and even the description sounds about right. Where I come from specifically though, it's not as popular as the other consoles. [sorry--]

[Good thing the journal isn't recording her entire body or anything, because her hands just involuntarily twitched at that last statement. So, this person must come from an country where Lastation would normally have a lot of power. Or maybe Noire found some way to send her console to other worlds and thus completely corrupted them. Yeah, that must be it.

... That's truly a shame. Although, I'm fairly certain I can understand what the reason behind it's lack of popularity is.

What do you think the reason is? But it's just in my part of the world that it's not that popular. I know in other places it's pretty big, at least.

Ah! Then my guess was right after all.

You see, even in my world, my console isn't quite as popular in some places as others. Of course, it's my wish to make my console the most popular in all nations, but there are some battles that are a little silly to pick. It's a little relieving to know that it's more or less the same where you're from.

[Oh another smile. Good good!]

It does sound basically the same then, yeah. [Though if she has something like an Xbox and something like a Playstation...] Do you have any game consoles in Gameindustri that sound like 'Nintendo'? With family-based games and a lot of motion controls.

With your description, though, it must be something similar to Lowee's console. Their games are mostly family-based, and have you swinging around a suggestively-shaped, tiresome to use controller for almost every title they release.

[Well that one doesn't sound like Nintendo.. As far as the name goes, anyway. The description sounds about right though, and it matches the Wii--oh. Lowee. Wii. Maybe..?!]

That sounds like the Wii we have back at home, but not all of the games for it demand that. [...And now he has another question, but he gets the feeling he shouldn't ask...] ..erm.. When you say suggestively-shaped controllers though...

When I say that, I mean it. With the way some of those games make you shake them around, it's hard to think of them as anything but unsafe for the average family to see in use.

It's terrible, isn't it? I'm stunned that such a family-centric console could have such an enormous design oversight.

[Man does it feel nice to make fun of Blanc's console without having to worry about her swooping in and cussing her out. Vert might even sound a bit like she's enjoying herself right about now.]

[It certainly does sound that way. He'd wonder why that is if it weren't for the fact that she did imply earlier that she made the uh.. Leanbox in her world. So the Lowee would be a rival, right? Or something like that.]

The world I come from is Earth, but my country in particular is named Japan. It looks like a lot of people here come from there too, but I think they're different versions of the country from mine.
