[It had been three long weeks since Vert first arrived in Luceti. There was the typical confusion, anger, helplessness, and so on that many new feathers with world-saving abilities have, but she's mostly gotten over that. Mostly.

Still, there was something about Luceti that really bothered her. Disturbed her, even. Something she tried very hard to ignore, but after a while, simply couldn't anymore.

So, in an effort to clear up this horrid image she had in her mind, Vert flipped open her journal and started a voice entry.]

Hello, everyone. I have a question for you all, if you'd be so kind as to answer.

Do all of you know what a video game is? More specifically, an MMO? It's okay if you don't know what that is, though. The former, less specific question is much more important.

[... Sure, she was ending it just like she'd end one of her blog posts, but whatever. The journal seemed to be the same thing, anyway!! But please, Luceti, clear up her doubts! You can't all be from such terrible worlds that you don't even have terrible shovel-ware Lowee games with tacked-on motion controls, right?!]

[It seemed like at least a large portion of the people here in Luceti didn't know what video games or MMOs were, so Riki's a little surprised to hear such a question coming over the journals. But hey, if his world has them, then others must too, right?]

Uhm... I know what both of those are, actually. I have them back in my world.

It doesn't seem like many people know about or play them here. But yeah, I do. All of my friends from home play them. [Kinda hard not to when someone like Kyousuke is part of the group, so..]

That's good. Playing video games with friends is an important activity for people your age.

What sort of games are they? Do you remember the console you use most for them?

I agree. Though before coming here, we'd be playing baseball together more than video games, so...

But uhm... I mostly played Playstation games, especially on the PSP in particular. Games like Monster Hunter and Megaman.

We play racing games and fighting games. Things can get really heated! And, um... Just what exactly is an MMO?

Ooh, those are some good genre choices.

[Yes, fighting and racing games, excellent. Vert starts to get a bit excited, but that lowers tad when she hears the girl's question.]

You don't know about those? They're online games you can play with people all around the world. They're all almost entirely for the PC, however.

Video games? Of course! My kid brother had a game console that I played with him sometimes. And I've heard of MMOs. Never played one, though. Didn't really have the time.

If I was going to grind levels, there are better ways to do it.

Is that so? How do you grind levels, then? Exploring dungeons while looking for rare items?

[Because that is the only thing that is even a little acceptable, even if it gets in the way of her gaming time.]

Part of it, but usually going into the worlds attached to those rare items to make them stronger, while getting stronger yourself.

Also, you may find even better stuff in there!

Worlds attached to those rare items? That sounds a lot like one of those SRPG type games that let you level over and beyond 9000. Are the items really worth it?

RPGs and fighting games! I don't mind a couple of strategies from time to time.

So, what consoles do you play those games on? One of Leanbox's best, I'd hope.

[After all, it sounded as if Lastation's stuff transcended worlds, so maybe her consoles did too ...?!]

You're kidding, right? Man, of course I know what a video game is. There ain't anyone better than me at 'em either.

Oh, really? [She just smiles. Silly boy, you have no idea what kind of gaming psychopath person you're talking to.] In that case, what kinds of games do you play, and for what console?

There's only one console out there that matters. That's the Gamestation 3000. All the latest specs, super HD graphics, and a built in CPU almost as the powerful as the one running me. And for games? Well, there ain't no better than Ultimate Warrior Fighters XV.

[Station station station. Is even THAT from Lastation's influence? It certainly sounded like it, given the name and specs.

At this point, Vert is so tired of everyone having consoles with "station" in their names - and on top of that, this guy saying something that she sees as an outright challenge - that she starts to get a little annoyed.]

If that's what you think, then you obviously haven't played with any of Leanbox's consoles. I can tell you now that they are far more superior than any other console there is!

Innocent Sin Online ... That sounds like something the company who makes those games with those Shade monsters in them would come up with. [But aside from that--] I've never heard of it, though. Was it any good, at least?
