Reserves have just opened and apps are right around the corner. But are you still on the fence about any of your would-be characters? Well -- here is your chance to take them out for a spin!

▣ TAG IN or reply to others with characters you would like to test flight for Luceti.
▣ ONLY add top-level comments for characters who are not yet in the game. You're free to reply to others with Luceti characters (because that's half the fun) but remember that the whole point of this meme is for potential characters.
▣ PLEASE do not post duplicates of characters already in Luceti.
▣ GO AHEAD and give us a brief description of your character in the top-level comment, along with one or two possible ways to run into your test-driven character around town.
▣ YOU MAY use these threads for your first person samples on your app -- just make sure that you link threads of a goodly length (i.e., threads with at least ten comments from your character).

Need a little help getting started? Remember, you needn't post here as though your character is still brand-spankin' new. It'll probably be more fun for all involved if this isn't a simple dress rehearsal for showing up. Here are a few scenario ideas:

o1. The grocery store is out of food. What do you do?
o2. Wing injury! Call for help or stagger your way to one of our fine clinics.
o3. It's a busy evening at Good Spirits, one of Luceti's local bars. Do you dare try the drink specials?
o4. Have a talent for playing music? Try Cloud Nine's open mic night!
o5. Beach party? Snow party? Leaf-raking party? Gardening party? YOU DECIDE.

Okay. So my examples are pretty non-exciting. But they're really just suggestions. I'm POSITIVE you kids can come up with more creative things.

Above all? HAVE FUN. Oh. And don't forget to RESERVE your characters.

Well it's true Goku does have quite an appetite, even in space he was the same way. You wouldn't believe the times we had to stop on different planets to see if they had food for him to eat.

[Suddenly he's reminded of that entire trip and sighs.]

[misterbrief]

You should have let him starve. [He's so done talking about Goku. Uuuuuugh.]

Let's get out of here. The sight of this place is almost depressing. If I'm going to go without dinner I'd rather at least be at home where there's plenty of distractions from thinking about food.

[capsulepresident]

All right.

[He starts walking out and then turns to look at Vegeta. Something has been on his mind for a while now, so he decides to do it before they get home.]

...Dad, there's something I've been wanting to talk about. Just the two of us.

[misterbrief]

[He raises an eyebrow, but he stands there, giving Trunks the 'go on' look. He's listening.]

[capsulepresident]

[He lowers his eyes and turns his head away little.]

The other me who came from that other future... I know you and mom always talked about him to me when I was younger. But what I want to know is... Are you unhappy I didn't grow up to be like him? Sometimes in high school and even now, I feel you want him around more than you do me. That you see me as a shame because I gave up on fighting.

[misterbrief]

Trunks. The two of you are not the same person. So I don't want to hear you compare yourself to your future self ever again, got it? [He inwardly sighs. He just does not know how to go about answering this question.]

I may not show it often but I am very proud of you. No, I'm not too happy that you stopped training completely, given Earth's track record and all. But I would not take him over you any day. You are my son who achieved the transformation of the legendary warrior of our race at only eight years old, something I had worked so hard for my entire life to attain. I raised you and I wouldn't know what to say for myself as a father if I valued the son I didn't raise over the one I did.

[capsulepresident]

You say that but then why do I feel I always have to live up to what he did? From the way you and mom talked about him... He did so much more than I ever could.

[He grips his fist a little and frowns.]

All I've ever wanted was to be on equal footing with him. We may not be the same person, but we share the same face and name. He's also still what I could have been if he didn't come back to help save the world. You always seemed so proud of his accomplishments and only thought so little of mine. I guess what I'm trying to say is I was jealous of him and thought you valued him more as a son than you do me. But it seems I was wrong... Sorry dad, I shouldn't have doubted you.

[misterbrief]

What I don't understand is if you feel like you're living in the shadow of him, why you don't do something about it instead of sitting there feeling sorry for yourself. I'm not putting you underneath him, that's your own doing.

[He had no idea his son was so emo about that. You know, if he knew what emo even meant.]

[capsulepresident]

Because I know no matter how much training I put myself through, I'll never be that strong. You, Goku, and Gohan are the strongest in our universe. How can I compare to that? And he's more than likely the strongest in his universe, it's a lot to try and reach for.

[Yeah, he just admitted that.]

[misterbrief]

That's nonsense. You've got Saiyan blood running in your veins, and you are my son. If he can do it, so can you. [Do you hear how proud he is of that fact?]

You haven't even tried yet.

[capsulepresident]

[He shakes his head and looks even further upset.]

I did try in space, dad. I tried my best to be a good fighter and help to save the earth from Doctor Myuu. But his creation Baby still was freed despite all my efforts of trying to kill him then he killed innocent people and even more... He took over my body and I nearly killed Goku right in front of Pan in the process. That's what I get for trying my best.

[misterbrief]

Would you listen to yourself? Do you realize why that happened? Because you let yourself go for so long. Perhaps if you had bothered to take time to train, instead of running off doing galaxy knows what, you'd of saved yourself from being in that sorry state. But no, you've been far too busy occupying yourself with meaningless distractions.

There's nothing to blame but your own lack of effort. Now stop acting like such a disgrace.

[capsulepresident]

[He's silent for a long time before his voice is quiet.]

You don't think I still regret it, dad? I do. Every day I feel it and still have nightmares. If I hadn't been strong enough to force Baby out, I would have been solely responsible for earth's demise. And even if we had defeated Baby out of body, how could I bring myself to tell Goten I killed his father or Gohan that I killed his daughter? Those two considered me their good friend and I betrayed them by allowing a monster to overtake me. But even if I train and push myself, those feelings I have now won't go away.

[misterbrief]

So what do you want me to propose you do, Trunks? Sit there and wallow in despair for the rest of your life? You're just going to have to get over it. The past is done and over with and all there is to concentrate on now is the future. Let yourself get torn apart if you want. But that's not going to get you anywhere.

[capsulepresident]

[He couldn't believe the words he was hearing come out of his father's mouth. It was filling him with anger that Vegeta might see Trunks' eyes changing color.]

You've told me multiple times how proud you are of me, yet then you turn around and say things like this. Of course I already know that... [Then he begins raising his voice, the anger tone obvious.] But you don't seem to realize how hard it is for me! I can't smile when I'm hurting inside no matter how hard I try to get over it! You're so unsympathetic and I hate it!

[Yeah, now his hair might be standing up slightly and changing color too. He's that angry.]

[misterbrief]

[He ignores Trunks's changing hair and eye color, he knows perfectly well what that entails and he's not the least bit intimidated by it. He stands his ground, arms crossed.]

You listen to me for a second. If you don't think I know what it is to be in that position then you're out of your mind. Now I know I haven't told you much about myself from my younger days, but I'm going to let you in on a little secret.

If I let myself be consumed by the staggering amount of people I've killed, I'd be foaming at the mouth and locked up in an asylum. You can't even imagine. So I'm telling you that what you've experienced is something that you shouldn't be dwelling on or you're going to go to bed at night and have nightmares for the rest of your life.

So no, I'm not sympathetic at all for you. You're going to have to deal with it or suffer. Your choice.

[capsulepresident]

[He changes completely after screaming and is surrounded by a glowing golden aura. His expression is clearly one where he's pissed off. Yeah he heard what his father said, but he's too angry to care and done talking. He then charges forward quickly while swinging his fist right towards his father's stomach to hit him.]

[misterbrief]

[He was only half expecting that to come, and the fist lands right in his stomach, succeeding in making him lose a bit of his breath and making him incredibly angry.

If his son wants to play it this way, he's fine with that.

So just as fast as Trunks transformed, he lets his own energy burst out in a fire around him, licking around his body, while throwing a turn kick right at his son's head.]

[capsulepresident]

[Trunks takes the hit to the head and falls onto the ground on his back, but he gets right up after falling. He's breathing heavily a little, yet he charges right for Vegeta again while screaming out too. This is pent up rage and anger that needs to get out.]

[misterbrief]

[His fists are up and ready now, letting Trunks rush at him at full tilt. But he's not going to let him get a hit in on him now, he's made up his mind and he figures he's going to have to teach him a lesson.

He goes to sidestep the rush attack, quickly bringing his knee up to try to land it right into the stomach of his now enraged son.]

[capsulepresident]

[Trunks, in his blind rage, heads right into the attack. Thus he feels that right in his stomach and falls down onto his knees, holding his stomach for a moment before getting up again. He's not about to go down without a real fight.]

[misterbrief]

Now are you going to calm down and listen to me or are you prepared to be beaten to a pulp? I don't have time for you to lose your mind over some idiotic sentiment only to end up in a hospital bed at the end of the day.

[He stands ready, prepared for another assault. He hadn't planned on fighting his son today but if that's what he wants, then that's what he'll get.]

[capsulepresident]

NO! I'll show you how much I care about what you think is an idiotic sentiment!

[He powers up again and jumps into the air, his foot aiming right for Vegeta's face to kick him in it.]

[misterbrief]

Have it your way. [His arm goes up for the block, while the other raises and he lets go of a blast, aimed right to Trunks's midsection.]

[capsulepresident]

[Trunks doesn't dodge in time and gets hit, but of course he's not going down. He gets up again, heavily panting and then jumps into the air, firing an onslaught of ki blasts at him.]
