Reserves have just opened and apps are right around the corner. But are you still on the fence about any of your would-be characters? Well -- here is your chance to take them out for a spin!

▣ TAG IN or reply to others with characters you would like to test flight for Luceti.
▣ ONLY add top-level comments for characters who are not yet in the game. You're free to reply to others with Luceti characters (because that's half the fun) but remember that the whole point of this meme is for potential characters.
▣ PLEASE do not post duplicates of characters already in Luceti.
▣ GO AHEAD and give us a brief description of your character in the top-level comment, along with one or two possible ways to run into your test-driven character around town.
▣ YOU MAY use these threads for your first person samples on your app -- just make sure that you link threads of a goodly length (i.e., threads with at least ten comments from your character).

Need a little help getting started? Remember, you needn't post here as though your character is still brand-spankin' new. It'll probably be more fun for all involved if this isn't a simple dress rehearsal for showing up. Here are a few scenario ideas:

o1. The grocery store is out of food. What do you do?
o2. Wing injury! Call for help or stagger your way to one of our fine clinics.
o3. It's a busy evening at Good Spirits, one of Luceti's local bars. Do you dare try the drink specials?
o4. Have a talent for playing music? Try Cloud Nine's open mic night!
o5. Beach party? Snow party? Leaf-raking party? Gardening party? YOU DECIDE.

Okay. So my examples are pretty non-exciting. But they're really just suggestions. I'm POSITIVE you kids can come up with more creative things.

Above all? HAVE FUN. Oh. And don't forget to RESERVE your characters.

Whoa! [Aang is sitting on the sand nearby, leaning forward expectingly. This Straw Hat has definitely got to be one of the coolest people he's ever met.] You met warrior giants? ...How giant were they?

[ Man, Aang is so great. Luceti's full of good kids like this (like he's not only about three years younger than you, Usopp). That in itself is actually very very terrible, which he is also ignoring all day erry day.

What a great day at the beach. ]

Unfathomable! At least a hundred feet tall each! [ Casually ignoring that that means they are kind of fathomable. He doesn't know how big giants actually are, all he knows is they're great in an action tale. ] It would take ten average men ten years just to forge their armor for them! And their vessel was even bigger: it was so massive that our ship got caught up in the currents following it. And an entire fleet of Marine battleships!

[Whoa! That's some kind of fathoming going on there.]

That's incredible! I bet it'd take me all day just to get up high enough to say hello. How did you make friends with them, Captain Usopp?

You've asked just the right question, young Aang. [ Super serious. But never too serious to gesture wildly as he goes. He leans in conspiratorially. ] My crew fired cannons and engaged the enemy in combat from the water alongside them, while they picked their noses and used the results to flick holes into Marine ships! No snot is stronger than a giant's snot! And when two groups of wanted criminals band together under fire to escape capture, a true friendship between men is formed. There are few things in life more profound than the bond of warriors: always remember that!

[He laughs at that. It's silly but also really cool. Aang finds himself imagining King Bumi as a hundred foot tall man.]

That's amazing! I like to think bonds of air nomads are really profound too, but that sounds very deep! I never thought about it before, but giant boogies would be really strong!

The strength of a giant runs through every part of his body! They'd have to be stupid not to use everything they can. [ Imperative wisdom all around. Clearly. ] Ahh, but I'm sure the air nomads have really strong bonds like those too! Like... like warriors of the spirit, right?

[ Since you know. Aang knows about them from real experience and Usopp doesn't know much about real life warrior...ing. Plus it's especially rude to insult a kid's entire people, he can admit it. ]

[He nods eagerly - he's really glad that he gets to tell Usopp something about himself, as well. He just hopes the air nomads sound cool to him!]

Yeah, something like that! Except we don't like war. But... in a cool way! We're really good at being spiritual though, and making fruit pies and riding giant animals! One time? I managed to ride the Unagi! It's big enough that it'd make a good pet for your giant friends, if they ever felt like petting something!

Unagi? [ This story has potential. Completely different worlds and all the cultures that come with them: it's like having new material laid out for miles.

How giant must that thing be, though? For legendary giants of sizes he made up to be able to pet them? And Aang's people just ride those things?

Another world of monsters. Go figure. Looking... moderately nervous, but still too interested not to find out more. Know your horrors, right? Yeah. ]
