Reserves are open and apps are right around the corner. But are you still on the fence about any of your would-be characters? Well -- here is your chance to take them out for a spin!

▣ TAG IN or reply to others with characters you would like to test flight for Luceti.
▣ ONLY add top-level comments for characters who are not yet in the game. You're free to reply to others with Luceti characters (because that's half the fun) but remember that the whole point of this meme is for potential characters.
▣ PLEASE do not post duplicates of characters already in Luceti.
▣ GO AHEAD and give us a brief description of your character in the top-level comment, along with one or two possible ways to run into your test-driven character around town.
▣ YOU MAY use these threads for your first person samples on your app -- just make sure that you link threads of a goodly length (i.e., threads with at least ten comments from your character).

Need a little help getting started? Remember, you needn't post here as though your character is still brand-spankin' new. It'll probably be more fun for all involved if this isn't a simple dress rehearsal for showing up. Here are a few scenario ideas:

o1. The grocery store is out of food. What do you do?
o2. Wing injury! Call for help or stagger your way to one of our fine clinics.
o3. It's a busy evening at Good Spirits, one of Luceti's local bars. Do you dare try the drink specials?
o4. Have a talent for playing music? Try Cloud Nine's open mic night!
o5. Beach party? Snow party? Leaf-raking party? Gardening party? YOU DECIDE.

Okay. So my examples are pretty non-exciting. But they're really just suggestions. I'm POSITIVE you kids can come up with more creative things.

Above all? HAVE FUN. Oh. And don't forget to RESERVE your characters.

The people of Kalos. It's where this little lady's a native of too, since I moved from another region myself because of my mom.

[He gestures to his Floette, who bows white flower and all to Gold. Fucking Frenchies.]

It's pretty big and flashy. And diverse. Very wonderfrou. The people have a certain je ne sais quoi as they say.

[misterbrief]

I'm fine, thank you very much. [He's begun to brush the snow out of his hair.] I'll never understand you shinobi. The bunch of you will drive me insane one day, I'm sure of it.

[Haru watches the unharmed cat dart off into safety. Yes, the cat is okay. But his attention turns back to Calem, who's totally stacked it. He frowns -- he doesn't particularly want to help this guy -- and his next words are quiet, spoken more to himself than to Calem.]

What a pain.

[Leaving the remains of the fish in his hands on the ground and wipes off his fingers, Haru stands and approaches, speaking to Calem.]

Where does it hurt?

R-right, of course! I thought that's what you meant! [Liar.]

So what region are you from, then?

[Queen of the Fairies Leaves. Perfect.]

Well, I hope trouble's ready for consequences. [She has to be an Adult around here, since... Gold and Silver still feel like kids to her, despite their height. And age. Gosh.] Rake some piles, would you? We can hop in them when you're done.

[Haru ignores the shouting with practised ease -- he dimly remembers Kou shouting at him to listen to her before jumping into the pool -- and floats in the water for a while before swimming under water. When he surfaces again, though, his attention goes to the cat woman he'd drenched on the way into the water, staying submerged to his mouth as he watches her. She'd been... fishing... earlier.

...

Dipping back underwater, Haru swims back, breaking surface of the water near the cat woman, without splashing her this time.]

You're too noisy. The fish won't come.

[Never mind that he was the main disturber of the peace, here.]

[At least the cat's safe. Tres bien. Calem leans down to push in the wheels of his shoes and smiles.]

My ankle. It's not the first time this has happened and it won't be the last, but I'll be grateful for the help. At least to someplace I can soak it.

[He won't ask anymore, Haru.]

[Liar. But Calem won't say anything about that.]

Sinnoh. Judging from your fashion sense, I'd say you're from Johto yourself. Am I right?

[Alas, mortal peril isn't usually a part of Haru's life, so that kind of caution hasn't been instilled in him. Yet.

Once he's down on solid ground, Haru slides out of Birdy's arms. The flight had been freezing for him; the wind had been especially cold given he'd just come out of the water and really isn't wearing much at all.]

...Thanks.

[--Though he immediately looks away, as if he doesn't really want to give it. But a breeze comes by, inducing an involuntary shiver and a frown.]

[Likely sprained, then. It's annoying, but the nearest place is the apartment he's staying at.]

My place is closest.

[Silently, he offers a hand to help Calem up, and will provide a shoulder to lean on without complaint.]

[He takes it and will gratefully lean against Haru too. As nice as Kalos.]

I don't even get your name before you take me back to your place? [Haha. He's only joking.] Sorry to be a bother, but I won't overstay my welcome.

[If Haru understood the joke, he made no indication of it, keeping his expression neutral.]

[But Haruka doesn't ask for Calem's, leaving him to offer it if he wants to. Honestly, he would have no problem with Calem staying a bit longer after they take care of his ankle, even if he'd only make the bare minimum effort to make his guest feel welcome.]

[Haru stays silent for a long moment, his usual response when he gets told off. But unfortunately, Makoto isn't here to make his apologies for him, so he slightly inclines his head and says--]

[--though he doesn't look reproachful at all.]

That sounds like something a knight would say. Any good fantasy story has to have one!

[The flirtatious knight is practically a must! She goes on about it as if it isn't kind of a weird thing to say out loud, whoops.]

But will you still be saying that if I win? I'm pretty good at card games!

[Translation: He's mostly bored, since he's not needed here to stop heists, or to investigate the Hige Hige Bandits, or to eke out a living as an underappreciated taxi driver. And with a pair of wings that actually let him take flight, he's well-suited to being out in the wild.]
