Test Flight Meme
Reserves are open and apps are right around the corner. But are you still on the fence about any of your would-be characters? Well -- here is your chance to take them out for a spin!
▣ TAG IN or reply to others with characters you would like to test flight for Luceti.
▣ ONLY add top-level comments for characters who are not yet in the game. You're free to reply to others with Luceti characters (because that's half the fun) but remember that the whole point of this meme is for potential characters.
▣ PLEASE do not post duplicates of characters already in Luceti.
▣ GO AHEAD and give us a brief description of your character in the top-level comment, along with one or two possible ways to run into your test-driven character around town.
▣ YOU MAY use these threads for your first person samples on your app -- just make sure that you link threads of a goodly length (i.e., threads with at least ten comments from your character).
Need a little help getting started? Remember, you needn't post here as though your character is still brand-spankin' new. It'll probably be more fun for all involved if this isn't a simple dress rehearsal for showing up. Here are a few scenario ideas:
o1. The grocery store is out of food. What do you do?
o2. Wing injury! Call for help or stagger your way to one of our fine clinics.
o3. It's a busy evening at Good Spirits, one of Luceti's local bars. Do you dare try the drink specials?
o4. Have a talent for music? Try playing DJ at HQ, the new nightclub!
o5. Beach party? Snow party? Leaf-raking party? Gardening party? YOU DECIDE.
Okay. So my examples are pretty non-exciting. But they're really just suggestions. I'm POSITIVE you kids can come up with more creative things.
Above all? HAVE FUN. Oh. And don't forget to RESERVE your characters.

Oh -- sorry.
[ He's got his own small parcel of breads and pastries from the bakery, since. Whoops, that food shortage today in the convenience store. ]
no subject
Is...
This has got to be some kind of nightmarish joke.
There's something a little off about this, though. Giovanni's certain he's been away for a couple years, and the kid here looks he hasn't aged a bit. Go figure.]
1/2
His face is dark in the shade of his wide brim hat, features not too familiar. It's been a while, for the both of them, though Red does peer... ]
Don't I know you...?
no subject
What are you doing here?
[ The question is sharp, his voice clearly not lost. ]
no subject
I'm surprised that's all you have to say to me. Isn't it for the same reasons you're here?
no subject
You can't do what you want here. [ Let's get that out right now. ] Got it? You're going to find even bigger trouble here than me.
[ Uh oh, Pikachu can see where this might possibly go. Either way, it's time to discard his bread to bound over to Red's feet --
-- and now he can see what's got Red bothered. Oh yes. You. ]
no subject
You still haven't learned kids shouldn't get in the way of adults. But as for right now... [He exhales a puff of smoke away from Red.] I'm just a Trainer. Are you going to try to stop me from doing that?
no subject
That doesn't have to make him any more tolerable.
It's a small pause between what Giovanni says and when Red speaks, just to stop himself from throwing out the first childish thing that comes to mind. ]
I would if I could -- but that's what your people do. [ Thieving them from their trainers; it's a bitter thing to be reminded of. ] I'm not going to let you make people believe you're just a normal trainer.
[ It'd help if he knew his name -- but by the looks of it, 'the shady-looking guy that smokes' might just do. ]
no subject
Good. They should know I'm beyond just a normal Trainer - if you think the people here have any more intelligence than the League.
[Lance, the entire Plateau - they're all as blind as Zubats to him. Fooling them barely took any effort on his part.]
Make sure you don't let any accidents happen to you while you're here. Not until we can battle again.

It's not just the people here you should be worried about; life here isn't as simple as it looks. [ He steps to the side, part of him not wanting to take his eyes off the man at all but knowing he should warn the others as well. Ash knew about Team Rocket. What did the others know? ] What you do is nothing compared to outside this village.
[ You, as in all of Team Rocket. But the head of the group can surely shoulder all the responsibility of their actions when it's his to carry in the first place. ]
no subject
Oh? Do you really think you know half of what we've done? [He steps forward to hover over Red.] Don't tell me you believe Lavender Town is the worst you'll ever see.
no subject
But Red keeps his ground, staring right back at the face and refusing to be intimidated by him. He may still understand so little of Team Rocket, but Lavender Town -- could Lavender Town even compare to Zompania? That reminder of that place, those streets, the ruins and the blood shed; for a moment, Red doesn't even see a criminal leader there. It's not for him that his skin feels somehow colder. ]
You weren't out there.
[ He tries to hide away that fear, keep his voice strong and harsh and not to let it shake from the memory. No, he can't believe it; he can't believe that any human like them - not even people as despicable and vile as Team Rocket were in his eyes - could do anything like what he saw, and what those before reinforcements were meant to have seen. ]
You don't have any idea.
no subject
It's nothing Giovanni can't imagine he's already seen before. Children just take it so much to heart until it breaks them.]
I think I do, actually. And if you have any more plans on being heroic, you better get used to it.
no subject
But it doesn't matter, anyway: he doesn't get it. He doesn't get it at all.
And even a man like him, Red doesn't want him to. It's stupid to think something won't happen again, but he's not going to wish those body-filled streets on anyone. And despite the arrogant adult attitude, Red doesn't care if the man does or doesn't understand. Why would he ever believe a kid like him anyway? He's just a pest in his eyes.
Good.
He steps back, though he really doesn't want to, feet even heavy in disagreement. It feels too much like giving in, too much like losing, but this isn't a match and there's nothing Red can think to do beyond bickering and getting more recklessly heated.
Still, it's harder to tear his eyes away, and he only does by forcing his head to turn towards the direction he wants to walk, and hoping that he's sent enough of a message across to the man that he won't ever truly be left alone by this pesky heroic runt. He'll keep his ears listening out, and so will his pokémon.
he's a stupid dumb team rocket leader is what i'm saying here ]
