Reserves are open and apps are right around the corner. But are you still on the fence about any of your would-be characters? Well -- here is your chance to take them out for a spin!

▣ TAG IN or reply to others with characters you would like to test flight for Luceti.
▣ ONLY add top-level comments for characters who are not yet in the game. You're free to reply to others with Luceti characters (because that's half the fun) but remember that the whole point of this meme is for potential characters.
▣ PLEASE do not post duplicates of characters already in Luceti.
▣ GO AHEAD and give us a brief description of your character in the top-level comment, along with one or two possible ways to run into your test-driven character around town.
▣ YOU MAY use these threads for your first person samples on your app -- just make sure that you link threads of a goodly length (i.e., threads with at least ten comments from your character).

Need a little help getting started? Remember, you needn't post here as though your character is still brand-spankin' new. It'll probably be more fun for all involved if this isn't a simple dress rehearsal for showing up. Here are a few scenario ideas:

o1. The grocery store is out of food. What do you do?
o2. Wing injury! Call for help or stagger your way to one of our fine clinics.
o3. It's a busy evening at Good Spirits, one of Luceti's local bars. Do you dare try the drink specials?
o4. Have a talent for music? Try playing DJ at HQ, the new nightclub! Don't have one? Just dance your butt off.
o5. Beach party? Snow party? Leaf-raking party? Gardening party? YOU DECIDE.

Okay. So my examples are pretty non-exciting. But they're really just suggestions. I'm POSITIVE you kids can come up with more creative things.

Above all? HAVE FUN. Oh. And don't forget to RESERVE your characters.

Ah... No, for the most part. We are all free here in Luceti! The Malnosso due rule over us... but it is not like a slavery!

But these Malnosso are still our masters. [ She points this out as if it's the most logical step to make. ]

Therefore we are their servants.

I suppose that you can say it like that... But it is still better than slaves! And beyond being bound to this enclosure, our servitude is mostly optional!

Dress it up however you like, we still serve them. [ A slave with some freedom is still a slave. ]

Yes! We are left to our own devices in the village... and we have the option of going on missions! They may also draft us to fight their wars... but they do not force us to fight!

They draft you to fight for them, but don't enforce it? What good is there in attending in the first place?

[ It doesn't make sense to her, but then again hardly anything here did. The pains of being swept up from an archaic world. ]

Well... They do force those chosen onto the battlefield! So, even though we could chose not to fight, there are still enemies seeking our lives!

But... Hopefully we won't have to worry about such things anytime soon! [He doesn't want to scare a New Feather with all this talk of drafts...]

I can fight. [ She points out, almost as if she was able to pick up on that. ]

That's what I did before I came here. If they want my life, they'll have to fight me for it.

Have they threatened you before?

Not directly! The Malnosso, that is. Sometimes, officials have chastised us for our behavior. But their enemies, the Third Party, seek only our deaths!

I am glad to hear that you can fight, however! Let's spar sometime!

We can spar right now. [ Why wait? ]

All right. Let's train.

[ With that she shuts the books, but doesn't cut the call. Instead, there's the light thumping noise of it hitting her hip as she walks a few feet before opening it back up. ]

... I don't know where you are.

We appear to be on the same foot! I do not know where you are either. Do you have any clues?

I am new and I can't read the signs.

You cannot? That... that is too tragic! I want to search every last tree until I find you!

If we both search every last tree together... we're sure to find each other!

[And now he'll dash off into a random part of the forest, crying out her name as he runs.]
