[Action - Good Spirits, early evening]

[Every society, no matter where you go, has a way to get drunk.

Ginia muses on the thought with a faint smile as she sits in Good Spirits, sipping at a milkshake with a few shots of Baileys in it. It's been a strange, long day that's ended with being shot and bleeding out on a run and beginning anew in a strange village with wings. Worse was a lingering feeling she knew the village, somehow, in some strange way. It was impossible, she was sure she would have remembered being here. But the feeling was enough to get her back on her feet, into a clothing store for a fresh set of clothes, to the item store to pick up some supplies, and to Good Spirits.

She sits at a table toward the side, alternating between watching people as they come in and reading the guide provided in the journal. It's an interesting thing, the guide, and she takes her time memorizing information.

Later in the evening, she ventures out with some questions on the journal.]

It's an interesting thing, the journals. Written messages, audio messages, being able to address everyone as a whole, talk to individuals, send private messages, never runs out of pages, and looks like any regular sort of book. Tidy bit of technology, or magic I suppose. I like the guide too, very well-written and informative, my thanks to the author.

Anything else a New Feather should know about? The little local sorts of things. Legends, stories, suggested dishes to try at the restaurants, the dos and don'ts, those sorts of things. Give me your best. I have time.

A respectable goal. So how does one move up? Acts of kindness and goodness? [Ginia has no religious inclinations herself, but she's always interested and respectful of other beliefs.]

Live a proper and good life to the faith. For example, if you purposely decide to burn down a forest, you're purposely hurting the Deity. If you purposely go against the word of the Church, you're going purposely against the word of the Deity. [Oh Luce loves talking about the Faith, but he knows he is in a new world, and should slowly dance around it. At least for now.]

[Ginia flips to a fresh page to jot down a few notes on what he says. Information is information.]

I take it religion is a very important aspect of your world.

In Sancia yes, the other parts of my world don't follow the faith, sadly. I hear thats why they have more plagues and disasters than us. [Instead of reasons such as cleanliness and quickly disposing of the dead.]

[Sancia. Correlation between lack of faith and plagues/disasters or religious teaching? Ginia continues to jot down her notes, mulling over things.]

Is there a government in the world or is the Church the governing body?

The Church is the governing body of Sancia, as for the others, they have demonarcraies and moonarchies or something. [Democracies, Monarchies, and such. He never paid much attention to it because it didn't involve him.]

Democracies. Monarchies. [Sorry, she can be an annoying corrector like that. She makes another note for herself in the back.]

I can't say I've heard of Sancia.

Many I have spoke to haven't. [He doesn't mind, only because he doesn't care about the other governments. After all the Theocracy is the PROPER one to him.]

It's strange to me, this idea of people coming from different worlds and ending up here. Unbelievable, even, yet here we are. [She gives the Luceti-provided journal a light tap with her hands. What a strange little book of secrets and information.]

I want to know how I can get back home. [He glares at that book a little. WITCHBOOK HE TELLS YE.]

I wish you luck with that. [She offers a sincere smile.]

Wouldn't you want to know how?

[Would she? To sate her curiosity, yes, of course. But actually leaving this place?

...No, not really. Whether there's Heaven or Hell or nothingness waiting out there for her she's not sure, but right now she's sure there's life here. So she'll cling to that life, that strange familiarity that keeps hanging around her.]

That makes no sense to me. [Why not enjoy the comfort of home? The place you know?]

Don't like traveling?

No, for one, it often involves those beasts from the depths darkest craw. [Aka the horse.]

[That earns him a blank look. Where he thinks horse, her mind goes to some sort of dark monster or demon, which really makes no sense either. What kind of traveling does he do?]

I don't trust them. People say those beasts are harmless and will not bother you and that one should just give them a carrot or a sugar cube. But something that big- no.

Its waiting and biding its time.

Are you talking about horses?

Yes. [He dislikes horses. A lot. He ~~is terrified~~ does not approve of any animal bigger than a medium sized dog.]

[All things considered, it's a reasonable fear. They are large animals that can break a leg with a kick. Some can be quite temperamental too.]

Are there other methods of travel in your world? Automobiles? Boats?

Whats an automobile? And the Church has said I would still spend a lot of time in a carriage anyways so why bother.

[The old conundrum of explaining an automobile to someone who has never experienced one. Ginia thinks over her answer, trying to think of the best way to respond.]

It's like an automatic carriage that runs on fuel or other natural resources instead of being pulled by a horse or other beast of burden.
