Reserves have just opened and apps are right around the corner. But are you still on the fence about any of your would-be characters? Well -- here is your chance to take them out for a spin!

▣ TAG IN or reply to others with characters you would like to test drive for Luceti.
▣ ONLY add top-level comments for characters who are not yet in the game. You're free to reply to others with Luceti characters (because that's half the fun) but remember that the whole point of this meme is for potential characters.
▣ PLEASE do not post duplicates of characters already in Luceti.
▣ GO AHEAD and give us a brief description of your character in the top-level comment, along with one or two possible ways to run into your test-driven character around town.

Need a little help getting started? Remember, you needn't post here as though your character is still brand-spankin' new. It'll probably be more fun for all involved if this isn't a simple dress rehearsal for showing up. Here are a few scenario ideas:

Okay. So my examples are pretty non-exciting. But they're really just suggestions. I'm POSITIVE you kids can come up with more creative things.

[One thing Aang is great at is just making other's smile, and he certainly made her smile. It wasn't as bright as she would've liked it, but it was all she could do right now.]

Yep. Take as many cookies as you want! And... let's see, there's loads of places around here. There's a few restaurants, a clinic, you've already seen most of the shops and the smithy, I showed you the Welcome Center where Katara and me have been working... one of my friends made a farm recently, plus there's a library and a tea shop and a flower shop, and there's the Battle Dome, too.

[The first thing to do was to find out where she was. Deciding she was not ready at all to cope with the fact she currently believed she had wings, Daria headed straight towards the first houses she saw.

This was the difficult part, really. She could talk herself (and talk to herself) out of what were obviously delusions, but having to face real people she'd likely never seen before in her life was different. Much harder. It took awhile of lingering on the doorstep to make up her mind to knock.]

[Oh God. Of all the doors she had to knock on it had to be Quinn's! Well, not Quinn's, but the door to the place where she was staying.]

What are you doing here?!

[ Ikki, for her part, had missed the last Suki - nor had she actually heard about her all that much, except for the vague knowledge that her current room used to belong to Suki and now belonged to Ikki. Suki is another of the people from her long-ago past, and she knows about the woman through stories, and she's already been gag-ordered by pretty much everyone, although not quite in time to save them from...everything else.

She's already dealt with knowing people she never got to know, or knowing them before she got to know them - mostly by being thrilled to spend time with the family that had died before she'd been born, or to get to know Katara, who was but was not quite GranGran.

Suki gets exactly the same treatment. She's family by virtue of (presumably) living in the same house and being a figure in childhood tales, and Ikki zeroes in on her when she notices Suki walking around, stopping her own errand to run over, Soren flying after her. ]

Aunt Suki!! What are you doing? Are you running errands? I'm picking up some fruits and things! Do you like fruit? I love fruit! [ As usual, she jumps right into conversation without a breath for air. ]

[The surprise stripped away her usual expression to one of open shock. Then Daria heaved a sigh.]

Great. I'm already delusional, and now my sister is somehow a part of this.

[With wings that look completely fetching and cute, of course, while Daria's were dull black and looked somewhat awkward.]

[SIGH. She was just starting to work on becoming popular here, now Daria could mess things up for her! Except that's not really fair, is it...damn her conscience!]

You're not delusional. The wings are real, and if you let anything bad happen to them you'll die.

[ Ty Lee is one of those people Ikki actually doesn't know a lot about, future knowledge included, but the arrival of someone from their world - and someone everyone else did know - didn't go unremarked, and she's probably seen Ty Lee at least once before.

She clearly has to fix this not-talking-to-her-much thing, though, and what better time than the present? Wherever Ty Lee is, a seven year old airbender will come up to see what she's doing, cheerful expression firmly in place. ]

It's called Luceti, even though I think that's not its real name or something? It's a big place that's kinda like a city only bigger, and everything's free!

Oh, the Battle Dome... it's some really weird place. You can go there to train, and it makes fake rooms that can look like anything and you can fight fake enemies there or you can make no enemies at all.

[The young airbender certainly surprised Suki. And the questions only threw her off more. But, Ikki did make Suki smile. Despite talking a mile a minute, Suki was happy to talk about something other than her being here before.]

I was just taking a walk, but if you want, I can go get some fruit with you. [It was something to do after all. And besides, Suki wouldn't mind hearing about Ikki's life.]

[Ororo was on her way to the grocery to pick up some essentials for the kitchen - they went through their stock surprisingly quickly for a small household - when she ran into Wanda in the plaza. On one hand, while they've been on opposite sides of battle before, Ororo knows that here in Luceti such things matter little. Case in point, Gambit.

In any case, she gives the younger girl a smile of acknowledgement as she passes.]

[Luceti. Alright, she couldn't't claim to know everywhere in the world, but her geography was pretty good. And she'd never heard of somewhere called Luceti.

[Luceti's a pretty big place when you're little. It's not as big as Atlanta, of course. Or even Savannah. But there's still a lot to explore and even more to take in. Clem's tried to do her homework and read the guide, but there were a lot of hard words and she wasn't sure what a lot of it meant. She did get the idea that there was an item shop with things from home, however, and that's where she'll be now.

She'll spend a chunk of the next hour digging through the item shop, carefully examining the piles of objects from different worlds. Eventually, she'll approach the nearest adult and give them a meaningful stare until they happen to notice and make eye contact.]

Um. Excuse me. Have you seen a walkie-talkie in here? Mine had flower stickers on it.

[breezing]

Oh, it's great! There's chocolate and soda, but we only get those at special times! ...Well, I only get them at special times. Uncle Sokka and Aunt Toph drink a lot of soda, but I'm supposed to drink juice more often. And only one or two sweets a day.

[ man, she sounds so jealous right there. They get all the chocolate they want Suki, and so do you. How is your life anything less than amazing. ]

It is a nice place to train, but it'll take some getting used to. It has lots of... technologies.
